Back to Flowers
Hydreangeas are delightful flowers that are known for their medium to large heads with a large number of small, dainty petals. The most common colour of hydreangea is white. However, one can
also obtain different colours of hydreangea, including heads that feature two different colours. While one can obtain non-white hydreangea, some colours and colour combinations may
not be available throughout the year or can be purchased on the fly. However, white hydreangeas are usually available at any time of the year.
Compared to other flowers, hydreangeas drink larger quantities of water. As a result, it is important to always keep hydreangeas in water and to make sure they always have access
to an ample supply of water. Sometimes, the petals on the head of a hydreangea will shrivel. While it may appear that the hydreangea has died, the shriveled petals indicate that the hydreangea is having
difficulty drinking water. In this case, cut the stem with a sharp pair of scissors so that the hydreangea can better absorb water. To repair the shriveled petals, immerse the entire hydreangea in water.
After doing this, you will likely observe the hydreangea return to its former glory. Hydreangeas should be placed in areas that are not extremely hot or cold - they tend to do well in mild or normal room temperatures.
Due to their large heads, hydreangeas are sometimes used for centerpieces at weddings and other events. Usually, only one or two stems are needed to create a full
centerpiece. Assuming that they have access to water throughout the day, hydreangeas should maintain their beauty during one day events such as weddings and receptions.
Power Flowers tries to maintain quantities of white hydreangea. When available, we will try to obtain other colours such as blue, green, and pink. Other
colours and colour combinations are sometimes obtained if suppliers currently have them in stock.
